Description
This rattan wall sconce brings together woven fiber and wood in a natural, bohemian spirit. Its shade sends the light downward and lets small flecks escape through the weave to bring the wall to life. It simply plugs into an outlet with its EU plug: no junction box is needed, which makes it a gem in a rental or in a bedroom where you want a wall lamp with no work. It is for lovers of raw materials and soft atmospheres.
Design & materials of rattan sconces
Woven rattan forms the shade, and wood completes the structure. Natural fibers show slight variations in tone and weave, which give each piece its character. This rattan wall light has everything of a boho-chic sconce: it pairs with linen, woven cotton, handmade ceramics, green plants and a seagrass floor. It also softens a more modern interior by adding the natural touch that white walls often lack. Switched off, the basketwork remains a decorative object in its own right.
The light
The bulb is not included. The sconce takes an E27 bulb; choose a warm white 2700 K LED, which stays cool against the fibers. The light is aimed downward: it lights a nightstand, an armchair or a console, while the weave casts a light pattern on the wall. A frosted globe bulb gives a softer result, a filament bulb sharpens the shadows. This model is not dimmable.
Where to hang a rattan wall sconce
In a bedroom, mount one on each side of the bed to replace bedside lamps and save space on the nightstands. In a living room, it lights a reading corner with a cane armchair and a wool throw. In an entryway, above a wooden bench or console, this plug in rattan sconce gives a holiday-house note right at the door. Complete the look with our rattan mirrors, which use the same fiber.

Size & installation of a rattan plug in wall sconce
A single model is offered, in a wood version, shipped without a bulb and with an EU plug. The sconce mounts to the wall with anchors suited to your surface, then plugs into the nearest outlet; a cord cover painted the wall color will guide the cable neatly. The package weighs under 2.2 lb (1 kg): the whole thing is light. Next to a bed, mount it about 47 in (1.20 m) from the floor, or 10 to 14 in (25 to 35 cm) above the headboard. In a living room or entryway, aim for 63 to 67 in (1.60 to 1.70 m). Check the cord length before drilling, so the outlet stays within reach.
Care
Unplug the sconce and let the bulb cool. Run a soft-bristled brush along the weave to lift dust from the strands. On a stain, dab with a barely damp cloth, without rubbing. Rattan dislikes prolonged humidity and direct sun, which dry it out or fade it over time.

We rent a small flat and the bedroom has no wiring above the bed, so wall lights seemed out of the question until i found plug-in ones. i bought two of these, one for each side of the bed, so we could get rid of the bedside lamps that were taking up half our tiny nightstands. Putting them up was easy, a couple of anchors each and done, and they just plug into the sockets behind the bed. We hung them roughly 30 cm above the headboard as suggested. The bulb isnt included, so i bought warm white LED globes, which keep the rattan cool. The light points down onto the nightstand, which is perfect for finding your book or phone, and little specks of light come through the weave and dance on the wall. It feels like a holiday house in the evening. The rattan and wood look natural and warm against our white walls, and each one has slightly different weaving, which i like. Best thing ive done to the bedroom

Pretty, but plan for the cable
I love how this sconce looks and the light pattern through the weave is magical on the bedroom wall at night. My three stars are about the practical side. Because it's plug-in, the cable runs down the wall to the socket, and I hadn't really thought about how that would look above my headboard, so I had to go and buy a cord cover and paint it. Also no bulb in the box, which is stated but meant another trip to the shops. Once it was all done it looks lovely.Wood, no bulb, EU plug

Thanks for the honest review, Tiffany. A painted cord cover is exactly the trick we'd suggest, and we're glad the woven pattern is lighting up your bedroom.

No electrician needed
Mounted it in the hallway above a small bench. Two screws in the wall, plugged it in, done. I used a warm LED and the light through the rattan makes the entry feel welcoming.Wood, no bulb, EU plug

I've wanted a rattan sconce for ages but our living room doesn't have any wall wiring. This plug-in one was the solution. It's above my cane armchair in the reading corner and I put a frosted globe bulb in it for a softer glow. The weave lets out tiny dots of light onto the wall, which is lovely in the evening. Quick and easy to hang, and it's very light.

Put a pair either side of our bed and got rid of the bulky bedside lamps. The rattan looks so natural with our linen bedding and the warm light is lovely for winding down.
