Design and materials of this rattan standing lamp
The shade is hand-woven rattan: a flexible plant fiber, smoother and more regular than wicker, which it is often confused with. Each weave shows slight variations in tone and pattern, which is part of its charm. The metal frame has a black finish: it draws a thin line that sets off the warmth of the rattan. As a black rattan floor lamp, the contrast works with ecru linen, terracotta, blond wood and green plants. Pair it with a jute pouf or a bentwood armchair. The light

The lamp arrives in several parts to assemble by hand: base, stem and shade. Screw the stem in straight, fit the shade, then the bulb. It plugs into a standard 220 V wall outlet. At 55 in (140 cm), the shade sits at shoulder height for someone sitting on a tall sofa: a comfortable position for reading without seeing the bulb.
Care
Unplug before any cleaning. Dust the shade with a soft brush or a vacuum with a brush attachment on low. Avoid lots of water: a barely damp cloth is enough for a stain. Keep the rattan away from direct heat and very humid rooms, which could warp it.

I was looking for a floor lamp to soften our living room, which felt quite cold with gray walls. This rattan one did exactly that. It arrived in a few parts, base, stem and shade, and took me about five minutes to put together. The bulb isn't included, so I used a frosted 2700K LED. I've wanted a rattan floor lamp for a while and finally found one that wasn't either huge or flimsy. At 140 cm it's a nice height next to our couch without towering over the room. Putting it together took a few minutes by hand, base, stem and shade. I went with a frosted warm LED bulb as the description suggested, because a clear one showed through the gaps more. The light it gives is warm and golden and the pattern on the walls is gorgeous, guests always comment. The black stand is slim and looks smart against our terracotta wall. It plugs straight into the wall socket and the push button is simple. It's become the light we use most in the evenings. Better than the ceiling light

Gift for my sister
