This marble sconce pairs a disc of natural marble with brass details, in a round shape that recalls the light fixtures of the 1920s and 1930s. The warm white LED brings out the veins of the stone and casts a soft glow on the wall. Offered from 6.3 to 11.8 in (16 to 30 cm) across, it belongs in an entryway, a bedroom or a dining room. Design & materials of an Art Deco marble wall sconce
Marble is a natural stone: every sconce carries different veining, never quite the same from one piece to the next. That is what gives the object its presence. The brass, in a gold finish, brings the warm note and the historical reference typical of the style. The circle, the favorite geometry of the Roaring Twenties, stays simple and legible. Among Art Deco wall sconces, this one pairs with geometric wallpaper, bottle-green velvet, walnut or a cement tile floor. It can also stand out on a white wall, in a warm modern interior.
The light
The light source is a warm white LED, included with the sconce. This tone makes the gold of the brass glow and warms the white of the marble, where cool light would make it look clinical. For a consistent room, match your other fixtures in warm white, between 2700 and 3000 K. The sconce is not dimmable. As a marble sconce wall light, it serves as ambient and accent lighting: it lights the wall around it more than the whole room, and shows off the stone after dark.
Where to hang a marble sconce
In an entryway, mount a 9.8 in (25 cm) sconce above a console, or two 7.9 in (20 cm) on each side of a mirror to frame the reflection. In a bedroom, two 6.3 in (16 cm) models replace bedside lamps and free up the nightstands. In a dining room, a pair of 11.8 in (30 cm) on the main wall creates an elegant brasserie setting. Size & installation
Four diameters are offered: 6.3, 7.9, 9.8 and 11.8 in (16, 20, 25 and 30 cm). The 6.3 in (16 cm) fits on either side of a bed or a mirror; the 7.9 in (20 cm), the most versatile, suits an entryway or hallway; the 9.8 and 11.8 in (25 and 30 cm) hold a wall on their own or sit above a console. Marble is heavy, with a package of about 5.5 lb (2.5 kg): mount the sconce with suitable anchors, especially on drywall. Set it 63 to 71 in (1.60 to 1.80 m) from the floor. It is wired to a wall junction box with the power off; an electrician is recommended if you are not comfortable doing it.
Care
Switch off the power and let it cool. Dust the marble with a soft, dry cloth. For a stain, use a barely damp cloth and a pH-neutral soap: vinegar, lemon and acidic cleaners etch the stone. On the brass, a dry cloth is enough; abrasive products would scratch the gold finish.

Better than I imagined
I'd been looking at Art Deco wall lights for our dining room for a long time and most were either very pricey or looked cheap up close. This one looks lovely in person. We got two of the 30 cm and hung them on the main wall about 170 cm from the floor, with a round mirror in between, just like the description suggests, and it really does look like a 1930s dining room now. The marble discs have different veining, one has more gray, the other is quite white, and I love that they're not identical. The brass detail glows gold when they're on and the warm LED makes the stone look creamy. Our electrician wired them in an hour. They're heavy, so use good anchors. Heavier than it looks

I wanted something for our entryway that felt a bit special and this sconce realy is. The 25 cm size above our console table is perfect. The marble has soft gray veins and the brass trim adds warmth.
