This brass mushroom lamp gets its look from gold-finish plated metal, with a rounded cap and a slim stem. Design and materials: a brass mushroom lamp look
The body is plated metal in a gold finish that evokes brass, without the weight or the upkeep of the real thing. The silhouette follows the mushroom shape: a half-dome cap that sends light downward, a slender stem and a round base. The gold warms an interior in neutral tones and echoes gold mirror frames, brass-look handles or metal furniture legs. As a gold touch lamp, it holds its own on a marble tray or a stack of art books. The light of this brass touch lamp
The built-in LED draws 5 W at most. Three light tones are available, from the warmest to the most neutral, and the brightness adjusts with a fingertip. The cap directs the light downward: it lights the tabletop and spreads a soft halo around it. In the evening, choose the warmest tone for dinner or a quiet moment of reading.
Where to put it
On the dinner table, set it in the center in place of a candle: it lights the plates without getting in the way of conversation. No installation: charge the lamp with a USB-C cable, then set it wherever you like. Cordless, it needs no outlet nearby, which frees up side tables, high shelves and covered patio tables. Place it on a flat, stable surface away from the edge. To recharge, simply plug it back into a USB charger.
Care
Switch the lamp off before cleaning. Dust it with a dry microfiber cloth. Do not use a lot of water or abrasive cleaners, which would mark the plated finish. Also avoid copper or brass polish: the metal is plated, and a soft cloth is all it needs to keep its shine.

I'll admit I bought this partly because I saw one at a friend's place and wanted one for myself. I've got a small flat with a narrow bedside table and a big ceiling light I never use because it's too harsh. This lamp took over as my bedside light. The base is small, so I still have room for my phone and a glass of water. The touch control lets me switch on without fumbling for a switch in the dark, and I can pick from three tones and adjust brightness. I use the warmest tone almost all the time.
