This white mushroom lamp pairs a white opal glass cap with a tapered stem and a solid base. Lit, the milky glass glows from within and gives soft light with no bright spot, in three tones to choose from. It recalls the opaline lamps of the 1970s, in a current version powered by USB-C and controlled by touch. It is made for lovers of glass objects and anyone who wants a refined ambient lamp on a nightstand or in the living room.
Design and materials of the white mushroom lamp
The cap is white glass with the milky look of opaline: off, it has the softness of porcelain; on, it becomes a source of light in its own right. It tops a solid conical stem that gives the lamp a stable footing and a continuous line. The technical parts are metal. This opal glass mushroom lamp works with light wood, travertine, linen and matte ceramics. It punctuates a japandi or warm modern interior. The light of this LED mushroom lamp
The LED source is included. Three light tones are available, from warm white to a more neutral white, and the brightness is set with the touch control. The opal glass softens the light in every direction: the cap glows and the tabletop is lit. In the evening, the warmest tone at low brightness feels like candlelight; the brightest serves for reading.
Where to put it
In a bedroom, it replaces a classic bedside lamp and brings a softer light. In the living room, set it on a low sideboard with an art book and a vase: the white glass plays off the ceramic. Size and installation

No assembly: set the lamp down and plug it in over USB-C to a USB wall adapter, a power strip with USB ports or a computer. Since the cap is glass, choose stable, level furniture away from the edge and from walkways. On a nightstand, leave at least 4 in (10 cm) between the lamp and the wall to enjoy the halo.
Care
Unplug the lamp before cleaning. Wipe the glass with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth, then dry it to avoid streaks. Dust the stem with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and any splashes of water on the USB-C port.

Milky glass, soft glow

Put it on the console in our entryway, in front of the mirror, and the glow doubles in the reflection. Guests always comment on it. The white glass is beautiful.

i'd been eyeing up vintage milk glass lamps for months but the good ones are rare and very pricey, and I was nervous about buying old wiring. This felt like a smart alternative. The cap is white glass with that soft milky look, the stem is tapered and feels solid, and the whole thing has a very 70s silhouette that fits my warm modern living room. its powered by USB-C, which I actually prefer because I can run it from the power strip behind the sofa that has USB ports. No bulb to buy, the LED is part of the lamp. The touch control lets you pick one of three tones, from a warm white to a more neutral one, and adjust the brightness. In the evening I use the warmest tone, low, and it feels almost like candlelight. During the day its simply a beautiful object, like a piece of porcelain. I bought two of these for either side of our bed after my wife saw one in a magazine. First, the good: the opal glass caps look lovely, almost like porcelain when they're off, and they glow evenly when on. The stems are solid and the lamps feel steady on the nightstands. There's no bulb to fit because the LED is part of the lamp, and the touch control lets you switch between three tones and set the brightness. My wife likes the warmest tone, I prefer the more neutral one for reading, so it suits us both. The reason for four stars is purely practical, they're powered by USB-C and we had to buy two USB wall adapters as our bedside sockets are old fashioned. I'd have liked to know that a bit more clearly up front, though in fairness the listing does mention it. Once set up, they look great and we use them every night.White opal

Great desk lamp
It's on my desk to the right of the keyboard, like the description suggests, and it takes the edge off the screen in the evening. The glass glows evenly and the touch control is responsive. Retro charm, plan your plug spot
I grew up with an opaline lamp at my grandmother's and this brought back that exact milky glow, which is why I bought it. Off, the cap looks like porcelain; on, it lights from inside with no bright spot at all. The touch control is easy once you get the hang of it, you tap for the tone and hold for the brightness, and I mostly leave it on the warmest tone, quite low, in the evening. I'm giving four stars only because of my own setup. It runs on USB-C, which I knew, but my bedside socket doesn't have USB ports, so for the first week it was plugged into my laptop until I picked up a wall adapter. Just something to think about before it arrives. Now it's on my nightstand, about 10 cm from the wall, and the halo on the wall behind is gorgeous. The stem is solid and it sits very steady.
