Description
This linear LED pendant light unrolls a 47-inch (120 cm) line of light above the counter. Its black aluminum profile, hung from two fine cables on a ceiling bar, runs straight, then waves at its center in a few soft loops, and the built-in LEDs follow every curve. The warm light falls on the work surface without hardening the mood, and the brightness is set by remote to go from cooking to dinner. It is for open kitchens, contemporary interiors and anyone who wants a single sculptural fixture where three would otherwise be needed.
Design & materials of a wave pendant light
A stroke of black aluminum that runs horizontally, starts to wave, then picks up its line again: the pendant reads like a freehand drawing in space. Its straight ends underline the geometry of an island or a rectangular table, and the curves at the center add movement.
More than twenty LEDs spread along the profile give continuous light along the whole line, where several round pendants would create alternating pools of light and shadow. This black linear pendant light pairs with a white kitchen, wood cabinet fronts, polished concrete or marble. Its slimness keeps it visually light, even in a room with a modest ceiling height.
The light
No bulb to buy: the LEDs are part of the pendant, with no socket. The light is a warm white, soft and golden, which keeps the kitchen welcoming when you sit down to eat. Along the curves, it draws a halo that shows off the shape of the fixture.
The brightness is adjustable by remote. While cooking, turn it all the way up; at the end of the meal, lower it to soften the mood. For a hard-working counter, add under-cabinet lighting.
Where to hang a linear LED pendant light
Over a central island, align it with the counter's axis, equally distant from both edges: the loops then sit in the middle, where people gather. For an island longer than 79 in (200 cm), two pendants in a row will look better. Among linear pendants for a kitchen island, this one pairs well with wood or black metal stools.

Size & installation of linear pendant lighting for a kitchen island
This model is 47 in (120 cm) long. Choose a pendant about two thirds the length of your island: 47 in suits an island 67 to 75 in (170 to 190 cm) long.
- Mounted to the ceiling with a bar, centered on the island's axis.
- Leave 28 to 31 in (70 to 80 cm) between the counter and the bottom of the pendant.
- Voltage: 90–260 V; always work with the circuit switched off.
Tools: drill, screwdriver, level, sturdy step ladder. No assembly is needed, but an electrician is still recommended for the wiring.
Care
Switch off the power before cleaning. Wipe the aluminum profile with a soft, dry cloth, following the curves. In a kitchen, grease settles: a barely damp cloth with a drop of dish soap will do, then dry. Avoid abrasive products, which would scratch the black finish.

We spent months renovating our kitchen and the lighting was the last decision. I'd seen this sort of linear pendant in restaurants and loved how clean it looked, but most I found were dead straight and felt a bit office. The wave in the middle of this one gives it personality without going over the top. Our island is 185 cm and this is centerd above it with the loops in the middle, hanging about 75 cm above the quartz. The LEDs are built in, so there's nothing to replace, and the light runs right along the profile with no dark patches. Warm white is the right choice for a kitchen you also eat in. The remote lets us go from bright to cosy in a second, wich we use every single night. Our electrician installed it in about an hour and a half. It's easily the piece people comment on first when they come round

So glad I chose this

The wave is the best bit
Our island is about 180 cm long and the 120 cm length sits just right, roughly two thirds like the listing says. The straight ends line up with the counter edges and the little loops in the middle sit right over where everyone gathers with a glass of wine. Better than three pendants
I was torn between three round pendants or one linear fixture and I'm glad I chose this. The light is continuous along the island, so no pools of light and shadow when you're prepping. The outer box looked like it had been dropped from a height, one end was completely crushed. Luckily the pendant inside was well wrapped and came out without a mark, but I was holding my breath opening it. Three stars for the packaging and courier. Worth it for an open kitchen
I'll give the full picture because I read all the reviews before buying. We have an open plan kitchen and living area, with an island of about 175 cm, and I wanted one fixture that would define the kitchen without cutting the room in half visually. This does it. The profile is very thin, black aluminium, and from the couch you mostly see the wave and the glow rather than a lump of metal. The LEDs are built in and the light is a warm white, close to a traditional bulb, not that bluish LED look. We use the remote constantly, high when cooking, low when the kids are doing homework at the island and very low at night. Installation was done by our electrician, he said it was simple but he did use a level for the ceiling bar to keep the line perfectly horizontal. The only thing I would add is that you need a decent step ladder and two people to hold it while the cables are adjusted. Really glad we went for it.Black, 47 in (120 cm), warm light -

This is bright enough when turned up for prepping and chopping, and the light is even, no shadowy patches between pendants like we had before. Smart and practical
I'm an architect by training so I'm picky about fixtures. What I like here is the proportion: a very thin black profile that reads as a single line, with a wave at the center that breaks the geometry just enough. Over a rectangular island it works very well. The LEDs are integrated and the light is continuous along the profile, without the spotty effect some cheaper strips have. Warm white, good color for food and faces at the table. The brightness is set with a remote, which I prefer to wall dimmers in a kitchen because you can adjust from the table. Installation needs a ceiling bar centerd on the axis of the island, so plan the position of your ceiling point carefully. Our electrician had no issues. Nothing wrong with the pendant, it's well finished and the light is lovely. My mistake was not measuring properly. Our island is quite short and 120 cm ended up a bit long for it, the ends almost reach the edges of the counter. The listing does say it suits a longer island so I can't blame anyone but me. Plan the install
The fixture is lovely and the light quality is great, warm and even. I'm giving three stars because the instructions were very basic, a couple of diagrams and not much else, and getting the bar centerd on the island with both cables at the same length took my electrician longer than either of us expected. Lovely light, slow delivery
I'm going to be honest, the delivery took nearly twice as long as quoted and the tracking sat on the same status for days, which was stressful because we had the electrician booked and had to move him. That's the only reason for three stars. The pendant is gorgeous now it's in. the light itself is beautiful and I have no complaints about it, the wave in the middle is a real talking point over our island. Three stars because I hadn't realy thought about the install. It wires into the ceiling and I wasn't comfortable doing that, so we had to book an electrician and wait over a week for him to come.
