Description
This wood pendant light takes its cue from Japanese craft: a simple shape, plant-based materials, a light that settles without glare. Over a table or a nightstand, it brings a warm, soothing note. Two diameters let you fit it to the room: 7 in (18 cm) for an intimate corner, 12 in (30 cm) for a dining table. It is made for japandi and Scandinavian interiors that favor calm and raw materials.
Design and materials of this natural wood pendant light
The shade combines wood and bamboo in a clean silhouette, with no unnecessary ornament. When the bulb is on, the natural fibers give the light a honey tone; by day, they look soft and matte. The cord lets the pendant float above the surface like a lantern. This wooden pendant lamp pairs with light oak, linen, glazed stoneware and rush chairs. It warms a white kitchen or a pale-walled bedroom without ever crowding the space or upstaging the furniture.
The light
The socket takes an E27 bulb, not included. To bring out the warmth of the wood, choose a 2700 K warm white LED or a vintage-look filament bulb. The pendant is not dimmable; for a softer evening mood, a low-wattage bulb is enough. Over a table, it draws a soft pool of light on the tabletop.
Where to put a japandi pendant light
In a dining room, the 12 in (30 cm) goes at the center of a table for four; for a longer table, line up two or three pendants spaced 24 to 31 in (60 to 80 cm) apart. Over a kitchen island, the 7 in (18 cm) in a row sets a rhythm. In a bedroom, a wood pendant over the nightstand replaces a table lamp and frees up the bedside table. Size and installation
Two sizes are available: Ø 7 in (18 cm) and Ø 12 in (30 cm). The pendant connects to the ceiling junction box, on 90 to 260 V. Turn off the power at the breaker before you start and follow the wiring instructions. Over a table, set the bottom of the shade 26 to 30 in (65 to 75 cm) above the tabletop; in a bedroom, 20 to 24 in (50 to 60 cm) above the nightstand. If you are unsure about the wiring, call an electrician.
Care
Switch off and let the bulb cool before any care. Dust the shade with a soft brush or a feather duster, with no water and no household cleaner, which would mark the wood. Avoid hanging it above a cooktop, where grease and steam would damage the plant fibers.

Perfect for japandi
Our living and dining area is a mix of white walls, pale oak and stoneware, and I wanted one natural piece above the table. This pendant is exactly that. I'd been looking at very similar wooden pendants in design shops for a lot more money. This one looks just as good to me. The shape is simple and clean, the wood and bamboo look natural, and in the evening the light through the shade is a warm honey tone. Our electrician fitted it over the table without any issues. We've been slowly turning our rented flat into something that feels calm, lots of linen, light wood and plants, and the old ceiling light in the dining area was the last thing that jarred. This pendant fixed it. We chose the 12 in for our table for four and hung it about 70 cm above the table as the description recommends, which is the perfect height: you can see across the table but the light still lands on the plates. I put in a 2700 K warm LED and the shade turns a lovely honey colour in the evening. During the day it looks soft and matte, almost like a basket hanging there. The landlord's electrician fitted it for us in about twenty minutes. Guests always ask about it. Just remember to buy a bulb, there isn't one in the box.Ø 12 in (30 cm)

I really like this pendant and would buy it again, but a couple of things to know first. The bulb isn't included, which is stated on the listing, and it's not dimmable, also stated. I just didn't read closely enough and assumed it would work with the dimmer switch we already had, so we had that swapped for a normal switch. Apart from that it's lovely. We have the 12 in over the kitchen table and the wood and bamboo shade gives a warm, honey tone to the light. It looks soft and natural during the day too, and it ties in with our oak table. It took a little longer than expected to arrive, but it was well packed. Four stars, mostly for my own lack of reading!Ø 12 in (30 cm)

got this for the kitchen in my flat. i'm not great with electrics so a mate who's an electrician did the install. bulb isnt included so i bought a warm LED one, and the light is really cosy. looks way nicer than the plain shade that was there. good size, i got the 12 inch and it fits over the table fineØ 12 in (30 cm)

Check sizes
The pendant is nice, but I ordered the 7 in for our dining table and it looks tiny over it. Sizes were listed, my mistake. Will probably swap to the 12.Ø 7 in (18 cm) -

Over our bed
Instead of a bedside lamp I hung the 7 in above my nightstand, around 55 cm above the top. Now the bedside table only holds my book and phone. The wood and bamboo look gorgeous in daylight too, soft and matte. I use a low wattage warm bulb so it's gentle at night.Ø 7 in (18 cm)
