Set the lamp on a flat surface near an outlet and plug it in. Place it on the side of the hand that reaches for the phone in the morning, about 16 to 20 in (40 to 50 cm) from the edge of the bed. Keep the charging area clear: a thick case, a bank card or a metal object between the phone and the pad can block induction. Check that your phone supports wireless charging before you buy.

Care

Unplug the lamp before cleaning it. Wipe the white surface with a soft, dry cloth, or a barely damp one for a stubborn mark. Do not use solvents or abrasive products. Dust the charging area regularly to keep good contact.

The lamp charges phones that support wireless induction charging. Check for this feature in your phone's specifications. A very thick case, or one containing metal, can stop it from charging.

  1. My nightstand finally looks tidy

    I'm one of those people who reads in bed every night and then plugs the phone in at the last second, and there was always a messy cable dangling down the side of the bed. This lamp fixed all of that. The phone snaps onto the magnetic pad and stays there, and the LED is perfect for reading. The white goes with my bedding and pale wood nightstand. I'm really happy with it.

  3. I spent a while looking for a bedside lamp that could also charge my phone, because my nightstand is small and there's only one outlet behind the bed. Most of the ones I found looked like tech gadgets, all black plastic and blue lights. This one actually looks like a lamp, white and simple, and it fits in with the rest of my bedroom. The phone sits on a magnetic pad, which is great because my old charging stand used to slide around and I'd wake up with a dead phone. Now it clicks into place and charges overnight. The light is a built-in LED, soft and focused enough for reading without disturbing anyone. It doesn't light the whole room, but that's not what it's for, and the page says as much. I keep a small lamp on the dresser for that. One thing worth saying: I had to swap to a slimmer case, as the old one was too thick. All in all, really pleased.

  5. Sits on my desk to the left of my monitor. While I'm working my phone charges on the pad, and in the evening I switch the lamp on for a bit of light while I finish up. The white finish suits my desk setup. It's not a lamp to light the whole office, more of a focused little light, which is exactly what I wanted. Fewer cables everywhere, which was the main goal.
