Description
This vintage table lamp in orange tinted glass brings back the warm palette of 1970s interiors. Off, it colors the nightstand like a glass candy; on, it spreads an amber glow around the bed. Its USB-powered LED has adjustable brightness and three color temperatures. It is made for lovers of colored glass and retro shapes who want a warm mood without giving up the comfort of modern light.
Design and materials of this orange glass lamp
Tinted glass is the heart of the lamp: a colored material that plays with light and changes its glow with the time of day. A metal frame goes with it and keeps it steady. Orange, typical of seventies furniture, pairs with teak, walnut, mustard corduroy and Berber rugs. On a white lacquered nightstand, it adds a bold touch of color; on dark wood, it extends the warm tones. As a reinterpreted 70s lamp, it tells the story of an era without being a copy.
The light of a vintage table lamp
The source is a built-in LED, included, with a moderate output of 60 to 249 lumens. It offers three color temperatures and adjustable brightness: the coolest for close-up reading, the warmest for an evening mood. Filtered by the orange glass, even the whitest setting takes on a honey tone. At its lowest, it works as a night light. At medium brightness, it is enough to read a few pages at bedtime.
Where to put it
In a bedroom, set this orange table lamp on a dark wood nightstand with rust or terracotta bedding: the orange of the glass ties it together. In the living room, it belongs on a teak sideboard next to a record player or a stack of magazines. In an entryway, on a narrow console in front of a mirror, it doubles its reflection and greets you with a warm glow. For the same era in a mushroom shape, see the vintage mushroom lamp, or explore more retro pieces among our table lamps.

Size and installation
It arrives in a 10 × 8 × 8 in (26 × 21 × 20 cm) box weighing 1.8 lb (0.8 kg) with packaging: a compact volume, sized for a nightstand or a console. No installation is required. It plugs in by USB, into a USB wall adapter or a device's port, and has no battery, so plan for an outlet nearby. Set it on a flat, stable surface away from the edge, since glass is sensitive to knocks. Run the cord behind the furniture to keep the nightstand tidy.
Care
Unplug the lamp before cleaning. Wipe the tinted glass with a slightly damp microfiber cloth, then a dry one to avoid streaks. A dry cloth is enough for the metal. Do not use abrasives or harsh products, and use both hands to move the glass.

I was looking for a small accent lamp for the bookshelf in the lounge. This one is compact and the color is gorgeous. It's on the warmest setting most nights. Feels like a bit of seventies sunshine.

My bedroom is very plain, white walls, white bedside tables, grey bedding, and I wanted one bold thing that would make it feel less like a show home. This lamp does exactly that. During the day the orange glass looks like a piece of coloured candy sitting on the nightstand, and when the sun comes through the window it lights up. In the evening it gives off a warm amber light that makes the whole room cosy. I use the lowest brightness as a night light because my partner falls asleep before me and it doesn't bother him at all. At medium I can read a few pages before bed, which is all I need. The three colour settings are handy, though honestly everything comes out warm through the orange, which I love. It's powered by USB, and I plugged it into the adapter I already had. The box was well packed and the glass arrived perfect. I've since bought rust coloured cushions to go with it.

Bought as a housewarming gift for my brother and his girlfriend, who've just moved into a flat with lots of dark wood. The color is perfect against it, warm orange that ties in with the wood tones. They keep it on the bedside table and use it as a night light on the lowest setting. Just make sure there's a USB plug near where you want it :)

Gave it to my mom for Mother's Day, she grew up in the seventies and said it brought back memories. She uses it on the lowest setting in the evening.

Really pretty lamp and a nice warm light. I was hoping to use it on the dining table, but there's no outlet near it, so it lives on my nightstand instead, where it looks perfect.

Thanks Lauren, the nightstand sounds like the ideal spot for it. Glad you're enjoying the warm light.

I collect bits of seventies glass, mostly vases and ashtrays from car boot sales, and I've been looking for a lamp that would sit with them without looking like a cheap copy. This one has the right colour, that deep orange you see in old tinted glass, and when it's lit the whole thing glows amber. I put it on the teak sideboard next to the record player and it looks like it's been there for decades. What I like is that the light is modern underneath. There are three colour temperatures and the brightness adjusts, so I can go quite bright if I want to read the back of a record sleeve, or turn it right down to a glow when we've got music on in the evening. Even the whitest setting comes out honey coloured through the glass. It runs off USB, so I've used a wall adapter and tucked the cable behind the sideboard. Really happy with it.

Lovely color. The box was a bit squashed but the glass was fine.

Sorry about the squashed box, Amber. Relieved the glass made it safely to you.

I bought this for my partner for our anniversary, since she's obsessed with anything from the seventies and our living room is full of walnut furniture and mustard cushions. The lamp fitted in straight away. It sits on a narrow console in the hallway in front of a round mirror, and the reflection doubles the glow, which looks amazing when you come in at night. The tinted glass is a rich orange and the metal frame keeps it very steady. It needs a USB adapter and an outlet nearby, so we ran the cable down the back of the console and you can't see it. Brightness goes from a gentle night light to enough to find your keys. The three colour temperatures all look warm through the glass. Packaging was very good, nothing rattled. She says it's the best present I've given her, which I'll happily take.

My wife and i have been slowly doing up our bedroom in a seventies style, with a rust bedspread, walnut bedside tables and a Berber rug, and we couldn't find a pair of lamps that didn't look either too modern or like a fragile antique. We bought two of these and they're perfect. The tinted glass is a deep orange and when they're on, the light is amber and soft. Even on the coolest of the three settings it stays warm becuase of the glass. My wife reads a few pages on medium brightness and i use the lowest setting as a night light because I'm up early. They run off USB, so we got two wall adapters and hid the cables behind the bedside tables. They're compact and fit on the bedside tables with room for a book and a glass of water. The packaging was very careful, lots of protection around the glass

Lovely lamp with a beautiful honey glow. Four stars because I didn't clock that it needs a USB adapter in the wall, there's no battery. My nightstand outlet was free so it's fine now.

Thanks Rafael, good point for anyone with a busy outlet. Glad the honey glow is lighting up your nightstand.
