Description
This reading floor lamp is designed for one specific job: lighting the page, not the whole room. Its flexible gooseneck bends and turns to put the light head right above your book, your knitting or your tablet. The integrated LED adjusts in brightness and color tone, so you can go from crisp reading light to a softer glow late in the evening. It is made for evening readers who want a real reading nook.
Design and materials
The frame is metal, slim and upright, so it takes up little room next to an armchair. The whole point is the gooseneck: a flexible arm that holds whatever position you give it, with no screw or joint to tighten. The compact light head goes unnoticed when it is folded up. This functional, almost workshop-like design slips into a warm modern living room, a home office or a bedroom. As a gooseneck floor lamp, it relies on getting the gesture right rather than on ornament: one line, one point of light, nothing extra.
The light of this LED reading floor lamp
The source is an 11 to 15 W LED, included and built in: no bulb to replace. A button lets you dim the light and change its color tone. For reading, a neutral tone around 4000 K keeps text sharp and limits eye strain. In the evening, go back to warm white, close to 2700 K, which is more restful. The manufacturer lists a lit area of 5 to 10 m² (55 to 110 sq ft), enough for a complete reading corner.
Where to put a living room reading lamp
In the living room, set it beside a club chair or a sectional, with the head about 16 in (40 cm) above your shoulder. In a home office, it complements a desk lamp to light a work surface or a music stand. In a bedroom, it can replace a bedside lamp for people who read sitting up against a tall headboard. Add a small side table and a throw, and the reading nook is ready. Find other silhouettes among our floor lamps.

Size and installation
The lamp arrives in parts in a flat box and assembles by hand before first use. It needs no wall or floor fixing: just set it near an outlet and plug in its power supply, which delivers 12 V to the lamp. Place the base slightly behind the armrest, on the side opposite the hand that writes or turns the pages, to avoid casting a shadow. Run the cord along a baseboard so you do not catch it with your foot.
Care
Unplug the lamp before cleaning. Dust the metal and the light head with a soft, dry cloth. For a mark, barely dampen the cloth and dry right away. Do not bend the gooseneck beyond its natural range, and avoid abrasive cleaners.

Good gift for a reader
Bought this for my wife who reads constantly. She uses it beside her chair every evening and says the light is easier on her eyes than her old lamp. Easy to assemble. One model

My wife reads in bed every night and her bedside lamp lit the whole room, wich kept me awake. We replaced it with this floor lamp on her side and angle the gooseneck so the light falls on her book and not on my pillow. She dims it to warm in the last half hour. Honestly a better night's sleep for both of us. Assembly took ten minutes from the flat box.

Does one job well
Plain and functional, which is what I wanted. It stands next to my desk and I swing the head over to light my sketchbook. Neutral white keeps colors true. Easy to assemble by hand in a few minutes. One model

Ideal for small print
At seventy-four my eyes aren't what they were, and my daughter suggested a proper reading lamp. This one is easy to use, a single button for brightness and tone, and the light head comes right down over my crossword. i keep it beside my armchair and it doesnt get in the way when i walk past. My daughter assembled it in no timeOne model

Got this for my dad who reads the paper every morning and complained he couldn't see the small print anymore. He was a bit sceptical about anything with LED in the name, but once I'd put it together and shown him the button for brightness he was sold. He keeps it on the neutral setting for reading and says it's like daylight on the page. It sits behind his recliner and the cord runs along the skirting board.

I do embroidery and needed strong focused light that I could move around. The gooseneck is properly flexible and holds whatever angle I give it, no slipping. The cooler tone shows the thread colors accurately and I can dim it when my eyes get tired. It's a no fuss lamp, a slim metal pole with a small head, and it looks fine in the living room even when I'm not using it. Very pleased with it.

ok so i bought this for my uni room because the overhead light is that horrible bright white and my desk lamp takes up half my desk. this stands next to my bed and i bend it over for reading or over the desk when im studying, the neck is really flexible and stays put. you can make it dimmer and change the colour of the light with one button which took me a minute to figure out lol but now i use the cooler one for studying and the warm one for when im winding down. it came flat packed and i put it together myself without any tools. its slim so it doesnt take up loads of floor space which is perfect for my tiny room. the cable goes behind my bed. really happy with it, best thing i bought for my room this term

I'm a bookworm and I've been through so many lamps that were either too weak or too harsh. This is the first one that feels right. I put the base just behind the arm of my couch on the left, as I turn pages with my right hand, and there's no shadow at all. The light tone changes with the same button as the brightness, so I go neutral when I'm reading and warm when I'm just scrolling. Took about ten minutes to put together by hand.

Finally comfortable reading
Sitting up in bed against our tall headboard, there was always a shadow on my book. This lamp sits on my side and the head hovers right where it needs to be. No more shadow. One model

Thanks Carol, so glad the shadows are gone. Happy reading!

I knit most evenings and the ceiling light was never enough for dark wool. Now I bend the gooseneck right over my hands and switch to the cooler tone. I can finally see my stitches.

My new favorite thing
I've had a reading chair for years with no decent light next to it. The floor lamp I had before was the tall kind with a big shade that lit the ceiling and left my book in shadow. This is a completely different idea. It's a slim metal stand with a flexible neck, and you bend the little light head exactly where you want the light. I set it up with the head a bit above and behind my shoulder, as the description suggests, and the whole page is evenly lit. The button lets you dim the light and change the tone. During the day I use the neutral white, and at night I go warm and lower. The LED is built in, so there's no bulb hunting, and it plugs into the wall with its adapter. It came flat and I assembled it by hand in under fifteen minutes. My reading chair finally gets used every evening. One model

We've got a small flat and floor space is precious, so a big floor lamp wasn't an option. This one is very slim and fits in the gap between the sofa and the wall. I bend the head over to read and fold it back when I'm done. The light is clear and focused on the page rather than spilling everywhere, so my partner can watch telly without the light in their eyes. Very happy.

Slim enough to tuck behind my armchair without blocking anything. The neck stays exactly where I put it, no drooping after a few hours, which my last lamp used to do.

Minimal and useful
slim metal frame, compact head. When I fold the neck down it's barely noticeable in the corner. When I need it, it's right there over my book. One model

Bought this to finish off a reading nook in the corner of our living room. With the head above my shoulder the page is lit evenly and there's no glare. At night I switch to the warm tone and dim it right down. One model

I work from home and my desk is in the corner of the living room, which gets very little natural light after about three in the afternoon in winter. I already had a desk lamp but it only lit the keyboard. I bought this to stand beside the desk and bend over my notebook and the papers I review. The gooseneck holds its position well, which matters when you're adjusting it ten times a day. I use the neutral tone during work and it really does reduce the eye strain I used to get. When I finish, I dim it and change to the warm tone and it becomes a reading lamp for the sofa, which is right next to the desk. The metal frame is slim and functional, a bit workshop looking, which I like. Assembly was simple by hand. Good, sensible lamp.

Picked this up for my nan's birthday. She does word searches every day and was struggling with her old lamp. I set it up next to her chair and showed her how to bend the neck down and change the brightness. She called me the next day saying it was like having a little sun next to her. She keeps it on the brightest neutral setting during the day and dims it in the evening.

Music stand light
i play cello and my practice corner is pretty dim. i set this beside the music stand and bend the head over the sheet music. Neutral white keeps the notes sharp, and i dont get the glare i used to get off the paper. its slim, so it fits between my chair and the bookshelf without me knocking it with the bow. Simple design and very handy. One model
