Description
This glass mushroom lamp owes its look to a coffee-colored glass, dense and warm, mottled with amber patches like tortoiseshell. Its rounded cap recalls the mushroom lamps of the Art Deco years, in a simpler, lighter version. Switched on at a touch, it glows like caramel and gives off a soft light. It is for people who collect glass and objects of light, and want a lamp that is also a decorative piece.
Design and materials of the glass mushroom lamp
The body is colored glass, tinted coffee brown and mottled with lighter amber and honey patches, in the manner of tortoiseshell. That depth gives the lamp a pâte de verre look, far from ordinary clear glass, though it is not presented as hand-cast art glass. The mushroom silhouette, a domed cap on its base, evokes the Art Deco mushroom lamp without copying it. This brown mushroom lamp goes with walnut, brass, bronze velvet and ecru linen; on an opal white wall, it makes a warm, precious spot. A piece to set on its own, so it gets noticed.
The light
The LED bulb is included and gives a moderate output of 60 to 249 lumens. The touch switch turns the lamp on and the brightness is adjustable: at its lowest, it is a night light; at its highest, it lights a nightstand. Passing through the coffee glass, the light takes on amber and honey tones. To keep that warmth, surround it with 2700 K light sources. It is ambient light more than a reading lamp.
Where to put it
In a bedroom, set it on a dark wood nightstand next to a brass tray: the coffee and the gold answer each other. In the living room, it belongs on a bookcase among old books, or on a console in front of a mirror that doubles its glow. On a desk, it softens the light of a screen at the end of the day. Size and installation
Compact, it ships in a 9 × 7 × 7 in (23 × 18 × 18 cm) box weighing 2 lb (0.89 kg) with packaging: the weight of the glass keeps it steady on a nightstand or a shelf. No installation is required. It is powered by USB, from a USB wall adapter or a device port, and has no battery, so plan for an outlet nearby. Set it on a flat surface, back from the edge, since glass is sensitive to knocks. Run the cable behind the furniture.
Care
With the lamp unplugged, wipe the coffee glass with a chamois or a barely damp microfiber cloth, then buff it dry. Do not use abrasives or harsh products. Handle the lamp with both hands, holding it by the base.

Sits on my bookcase between old paperbacks and looks like its been there for decades. The coffee glass is so rich. its more of a mood light than one to read by, wich is what I wanted!!!

Picked it for my partner's desk. Looks like a vintage find.

I collect colored glass and this lamp fits right in with the rest of my shelf. In daylight it's a dark coffee brown, but once it's on the amber and honey patches come alive and the whole thing glows. The touch switch is nice, a light tap and it comes on, and I can bring the brightness right down for the evening. It's heavier than it looks, which makes it feel steady. Lovely piece.

Housewarming gift for my brother. Even he said it was nice, and he never says that :)

Ordered this to soften my home office in the evenings. Having it glowing beside the monitor makes late work feel less harsh on the eyes. Touch control is simple and it fits on a small desk easily.

I live in a small studio and wanted lighting that felt warm rather than the cold overhead light I'm stuck with. This sits on my bedside crate and when the main light is off the whole place goes golden. The pattern in the glass is so pretty, like tortoiseshell sunglasses. I keep it on low most of the time. It runs off USB from the adapter by my bed.

i love the color and the lamp is really pretty. i'd just recommend checking you have a usb plug near your bed because mine is a bit far and i needed an extension. other than that no complaints

Thanks for the useful tip, Eliana. It does run on USB with no battery, so an outlet nearby makes life easier.

A bit darker than expected
The glass came out a bit darker than it looked on my screen, more espresso than milky coffee when it's off. Once it's switched on though, the amber patches show up and it's lovely. Sturdy, good packaging, and the touch switch works smoothly. Knocked off a star just for the color difference, still keeping it.Coffee

The lamp is pretty and the glow is lovely, but delivery took much longer than quoted and nobody could tell me where it was for a while. When it finally arrived it was well packed and unharmed.

We're sorry the wait was so long and the updates so thin, Morgan. Thank you for your patience, and we're glad the lamp arrived in perfect shape.

i was worried brown glass would look dated but it's the opposite. It looks rich and a bit Art Deco on my cream sideboard, and the light that comes through is soft and warm.

I wanted something a bit special for my dark wood nightstand and this is perfect. Brown glass on dark wood with a brass dish next to it, it looks like an old hotel room in the best way.

My daughter is a uni student and wanted a lamp that wasn't white plastic for her desk. I sent her this and she loves it. She uses it at the end of the day when she's done with the laptop, and she says the brown glass makes everything feel calmer. It powers off USB, so she just plugs it into the adapter next to her desk. Packaging was really good, the glass arrived without a scratch.

ive wanted one of these mushroom lamps for ages but the old vintage ones cost crazy money and usually need rewiring. This one gives me the look without the stress. The glass is a deep coffee brown with lighter amber swirls through it, and when its lit it honestly looks like a jar of honey with the sun behind it. I keep it on my nightstand with a stack of books and a little brass tray, wich is pretty much the styling the page describes, and it works. The touch switch is easy to find in the dark and the brightness goes from a soft night light to enough to see the whole nightstand. its not a reading lamp, more of an atmosphere thing, and I knew that going in. USB powered, so I run the cable behind the bed. Very pleased.

Lovely lamp but it's smaller than I'd pictured. The page does say compact and lists the box size, so that's on me. On the bedside it looks great and the glow is really warm.

Feels like a treasure
This lamp feels like something you'd find in a little vintage shop, but it's new and works perfectly. The glass has so much depth to it.Coffee

Cosy corner
Placed it on the shelf above my reading chair and turned the brightness low. With the rest of the lights off the whole corner goes this amber color. Cosy is the only word.Coffee

My sister has the white one so I got the coffee. We match now!

my favorite lamp
i've bought a lot of lamps for my flat over the years and this one gets the most compliments by far. the coffee colour with the lighter patches looks so much more expensive than it was. i put it on my dressing table and turn it on every evening, the light goes all honey coloured through the glass. it's not bright enough to do makeup by but that's not what it's for, it's just pure cosinessCoffee

The tortoiseshell pattern is even prettier in person than in the photos.

Got it for the console in our hallway, in front of the mirror like the page suggests. The reflection doubles the glow and it's the first thing you see coming home. Runs off a USB adapter tucked behind the console.

My wife has a thing for anything tortoiseshell, so this was an easy anniversary present. It came very well padded and the glass was in perfect condition. She put it on the console in the living room and it's the first lamp she turns on when it gets dark. The brightness adjusts with the touch switch, so it goes from a soft night light to properly lighting up the console. Good weight, sits steady.

Gorgeous, plan for an outlet
The glass is beautiful, properly mottled like tortoiseshell, and it glows a warm honey color at night. I'd somehow assumed it ran on a battery like a few other mushroom lamps I've seen, but it runs off USB with no battery. The listing does say so. I've had to plug it into a USB adapter behind my nightstand. Still love it, just read the details.Coffee

Bought it for my wife's nightstand. When it's on, the brown glass turns this deep caramel color with lighter amber patches showing through. She keeps it on the lowest setting before bed.
