Description
This black industrial ceiling light brings together surface-mounted spotlights, 1, 2 or 3 of them, to direct light toward a countertop, a table or a decorated wall. Their dark, crisp silhouette recalls workshops and galleries and gives character to a white ceiling. Each spotlight takes a GU10 bulb, easy to find and to replace. It is a solution for anyone who wants focused lighting rather than diffuse light, in a kitchen or an entryway.
Design and materials of these industrial ceiling lights
The black spotlights mount directly to the ceiling, with no recessing and no drop ceiling. Their simple shape and bold color give them the industrial character people love in lofts and older apartments alike. The three-spot version creates a steady rhythm over an island or a hallway; the single spot lights a painting or a corner. The black stands out on a white ceiling and pairs with exposed brick, steel-framed glass partitions, polished concrete and metal stools.
The light
Each spotlight takes a GU10 bulb, not included. Choose GU10 LED bulbs: they run cool and last a long time. For a kitchen, 3000 to 4000 K gives crisp light on the countertop; for a living room or an entryway, 2700 to 3000 K gives a warmer mood. The bulb's beam angle sets the width of the circle of light: narrow for a painting, wide for a table.
Where to put an industrial flush mount ceiling light
In a kitchen, this light belongs above an island or a countertop, with the 3 light flush mount version spreading the light along the whole length. In an entryway, a two-spot model lights both the door and a console table. In a living room, a single spot can highlight a bookcase or a painting, alongside a table lamp. For softer, wraparound light over the table, pair it with one of our pendant lights.

Size and installation
Three versions are available: 1 spotlight, 2 spotlights or 3 spotlights. As flush mount ceiling spotlights, they sit on the surface and connect to the 220 V supply at an existing ceiling junction box. Turn off the power at the breaker before any work, check there is no voltage and use anchors suited to your ceiling. A drill, a screwdriver and a sturdy step ladder are enough; if you have any doubt about the wiring, call an electrician.
Care
Turn off the power and let the bulbs cool before cleaning. Dust the spotlights with a dry cloth or a feather duster. In a kitchen, a slightly damp cloth with a drop of dish soap removes greasy film; dry right away.

Simple upgrade
Replaced a dated flush light in the entryway with the two spot version. Looks so much more modern and the light goes exactly where we need it.

Better than expected
honestly I bought this as a quick fix for our dark kitchen and wasn't expecting much at the price, but it's been one of the best small upgrades we've made. Went for the three spotlight model above the counter where we chop and prep. The spots sit on the cieling surface so no messy cutting into plaster, and our electrician had it connected to the existing box in no time. I picked 4000 K GU10 LEDs on the advice of the description and the counter is now properly lit, no more working in my own shadow. It's black, simple and suits the slightly industrial feel of the rest of the kitchen. Already thinking about the single spot for the hallway.

Island lighting on a budget
We'd priced up pendant lights for our island and the totals were eye-watering. This three spotlight ceiling light was a fraction of the cost and honestly suits our kitchen better. Quality light, slow delivery
Ordered the single spot to highlight a canvas in my dining room. Delivery took over a week longer than estimated, which was annoying as I was hosting a dinner. It did arrive in time, just. The ceiling light looks great and the black is a nice contrast on our white ceiling. Four stars because I didn't read that GU10 bulbs aren't included, so I had to make a trip to the store before I could use it. Totally my own fault. the light itself is great and I'd buy it again, but I'm giving four stars because the delivery was a saga. The tracking showed the same status for days and I had to contact customer service twice. They were helpful and polite, and it did arrive in the end, well packed with nothing damaged. I chose the three spotlight version for the hallway, wich is long and narrow, and it spreads the light evenly from one end to the other. I used 3000 K GU10 bulbs. My partner connected it with the breaker off, following the instructions, and it took about half an hour. The black looks really sharp

Kitchen sorted
Our kitchen had one sad central light that left the worktop in shadow every time you stood at it. We went for the three spotlight version along the counter and it has made such a difference. Because they sit on the surface of the ceiling there was no need to cut holes or add a drop ceiling, our electrician just connected it to the existing junction box and fixed it up in well under an hour. We put in 4000 K LED bulbs for crisp light when cooking and it's bright and clear without being clinical. The black looks smart against the white ceiling and matches our black handles. Brilliant value for what it does.
