Description
This gold sunburst mirror radiates around a central mirror, like a star set on the wall. Its gold metal structure catches the light of a lamp or a window and sends it back as warm glints, while the mirror opens up the space. Size and installation of the gold sunburst mirror
Four diameters are available: 24, 28, 31.5 and 35 in (60, 70, 80 and 90 cm). The package weighs about 13 lb (6 kg): plan a sturdy fixing.
- On a solid wall, use anchors suited to the weight and the material.
- On drywall, use hollow-wall expansion anchors, or screw into a stud.
- Tools: drill, level, tape measure, pencil.
Above furniture, leave 8 to 10 in (20 to 25 cm) between the top and the bottom of the rays. Alone on a wall, center it about 59 to 63 in (150 to 160 cm) from the floor. Get help to hold it up to the wall: the rays are more fragile than the center.
Care
Dust the rays with a soft brush or a feather duster, without rubbing. Clean the central mirror with a barely damp microfiber cloth, with no spray on the metal. Avoid abrasive sponges and ammonia-based cleaners, which dull the gold finish.

Focal point sorted
We moved into a house with a large, plain wall in the entryway that had nothing on it for months because we couldn't decide what to put there. A friend suggested a sunburst mirror and sent me this one. I went for the 90 cm, centred about 155 cm from the floor, with nothing underneath. It fills the wall well and catches the light from the glass panel in the front door, so you get little glints of gold across the hall in the morning. Packaging was excellent, each ray area protected with foam. I'd absolutely recommend a second person to help lift it into place, as the page suggests, and use proper anchors because it has some weight to it. We used hollow-wall expansion anchors in plasterboard and it hasn't moved. Guests always mention it as soon as they walk in.

The sun came to my bedroom
Our bedroom had a really plain headboard wall and I didn't want to replace the bed, so I bought the 70 cm sunburst to go above the dresser on the opposite wall. It completely changes the mood in the room. The gold finish goes with my rattan bedside lamp and the sage green throw on the bed. When the sun comes in through the window in the afternoon, the rays light up and there are reflections everywhere. It's like having a piece of jewelry on the wall. To hang it we used a drill, a level and two anchors suitable for brick. The package was heavier than I'd expected for something so delicate-looking, so plan a sturdy fixing as they say. I'm not normally one to write reviews, but my wife insisted after the number of compliments we've had on this mirror. We have a terracotta colored wall in our dining room and we wanted something with a bit of warmth and character to go above the sideboard. The 80 cm sunburst was spot on. The gold finish looks vintage rather than shiny new, and the rays cast a really nice pattern of shadows on the wall when the evening light comes in from the side window. We followed the hanging advice on the page, leaving about 20 cm between the sideboard top and the bottom of the rays, and it looks perfectly balanced. It needed two of us to hold it while the other marked the holes, but that's to be expected with something this shape. The center mirror is good quality, clear reflection. Highly recommended.

Looks like a flea market find
I've been trawling vintage shops for a sunburst mirror for years and the real ones are either battered or cost a fortune. This one has that sixties look without the chips and wear. I got the 70 cm for above a sideboard in the dining room and the rays throw lovely shadows on the wall when the lamp beside it is on. It's honestly the star of the room now.

i've redone my living room in warm tones this year: terracotta walls, a sage green velvet armchair, lots of wood and a couple of rattan baskets. The one thing missing was something on the wall above the couch that would bring it all together without being another painting. This sunburst in 90 cm was the answer. The gold metal rays are slim and spread out from the middle like a starburst, and the mirrior in the center reflects the window opposite so the room feels lighter. In the evening, with my floor lamp on next to the couch, the gold picks up all the light and gives off this soft glow. Hanging it was the only slightly stressful bit, as it's a bit awkward and needs two people, but it's been rock solid since. Packaging was very good. Perfect above the fireplace
I wanted a statement piece above our fireplace and this 90 cm sunburst is just that. The gold catches the glow of the fire and the candles on the mantel in the evenings. its heavy enough that we put it into the brick with proper anchors, and it took two of us. It's a gorgeous mirror and suits the vintage style of my lounge. I'm only giving four because the delivery took around two weeks and the tracking barely updated, so I spent a lot of time wondering where it was. Bought the 90 cm for over our couch. Looks fantastic and gives the living room a real focal point, but it is big, and I'd underestimated how much wall it would take with the rays. Ended up moving some frames around to give it space. It's well made, the gold finish is even all the way round and the center mirror is clear.
