This window pane mirror borrows the design of a workshop window: a black metal frame and grid bars that divide the glass into panes, 35 by 24 in (90 by 60 cm). On the wall, it creates the illusion of an opening and reflects light like a real window. It hangs horizontally or vertically. It is made for lovers of lofts, brick and raw wood, and for anyone who wants a dark room to feel larger without cutting a new window.
Design and materials
The frame and grid bars are black-lacquered metal, thin and even, like the profiles of a steel-framed glass partition. The glass, divided into panes, multiplies reflections and breaks up the effect of one large flat surface. This black window pane mirror works as a trompe-l'oeil window: on a solid wall, it suggests a passage into another room. The black goes with herringbone floors, worn leather, polished concrete and industrial light fixtures. On a white wall, it draws a graphic grid.
Where to put it
In a living room, hang it horizontally above a 71 to 79 in (180 to 200 cm) sofa: it covers about half its length and reads like a window. Size and installation of the window pane mirror
The mirror measures 35 × 24 in (90 × 60 cm). The package weighs about 22 lb (10 kg) including packaging: plan on two people to hang it.
It mounts on the wall with four hooks, horizontally or vertically. Locate them, mark with a level and use anchors suited to the weight and your wall; on drywall, choose expansion anchors. Above a sideboard or sofa, leave 8 to 12 in (20 to 30 cm) between the furniture and the bottom of the frame.
Care
Dust the frame and grid bars with a soft brush or a dry cloth. For the glass, spray glass cleaner on a microfiber cloth and clean pane by pane, without wetting the metal. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which would scratch the black lacquer.

I'm into mixing old and new and was worried this would look too modern, but the slim black frame sits really nicely above my old pine chest of drawers. I'd been looking at window pane mirrors for months and kept hesitating because so many of them looked flimsy in the photos. This one has a proper metal frame, black and slim, and the bars between the panes are straight and even, no wobble anywhere. We put it over our sofa, which is about 190 cm long, and like the listing suggests it covers roughly half of it. That proportion is spot on, it reads like a window rather than a mirror. Our living room faces north and gets very little sun, so having something that throws light back into the room made a real difference, especially in the afternoons. My other half found the studs and we used decent anchors for the rest. It's around 10 kg in the box so definitely a two person job. We redid our dining room this year, new paint, new table, and the last piece was a big mirror for the wall facing the window. I'd seen similar window mirrors in fancy shops for a lot more and honestly this one looks just as good. It's hung horizontally above our sideboard, which is about 150 cm wide, and leaving roughly 25 cm between the top of the sideboard and the frame looks spot on. Fake window in a windowless room

Check your wall before ordering
This is a really handsome mirrior and I'm pleased with it, but I want to give a tip for anyone in an older house like ours. Our walls are lath and plaster and finding a good spot that would take the weight took a while, so between that and buying the right fixings the whole thing took most of an afternoon. That's not the mirror's fault at all, the listing is clear about the weight and the anchors, but I'd underestimated it. Now it's up above our console in the hall, hung horizontally, and it looks great. The black bars catch the eye without being heavy, and the hallway is noticeably brighter. Beautiful mirror and exactly the style I was after for my loft-style living room. The reason it's four stars is the installation. The instructions are pretty minimal and I didn't have the right anchors on hand, so I had to go out and buy expansion anchors for our drywall before I could hang it. Lovely, just took a while
I'll be honest, I almost cancelled becuase the delivery took so much longer than I was expecting and id planned a little dinner party around having it up. It turned up a few days after the dinner, typical. Anyway, now that its on the wall im glad I didnt cancel. its over our dining sideboard, hung horizontally, and it catches the light from the window opposite so the whole room is brighter in the evening. The packaging was really thorough, corners protected and plenty of padding. The frame is slim and the bars are perfectly straight, which matters a lot with a grid design because you'd notice anything off immediately. Our tiny apartment feels bigger
We live in a one bedroom flat with a long, dark living room where the only window is at one end. id read that mirrors opposite a window help, but a normal round mirror didnt feel right with our style, which is mostly black metal, an old leather sofa and lots of plants. This mirror fixed it. We hung it horizontally on the long wall, about 25 cm above our sofa, and it really does look like a second window.
