The mirror stands on the floor on its stand after a short assembly. Unpack it with two people, flat on a blanket, to avoid any stress on the glass. Set it on a level, stable floor, away from a busy path. With young children or a playful pet, add a small anti-tip wall strap behind the frame. Leave at least 5 ft (1.5 m) of space in front of it for a full length view.
Care
Clean the glass from top to bottom with a microfiber cloth and a mild glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth. For the gold frame, a soft dry cloth is enough: avoid harsh household cleaners, alcohol and scouring sponges, which could dull the finish. Dust the stand regularly.

We moved into a new build with very plain white walls and everything felt a bit flat. I wanted something tall and gold in the bedroom to warm it up without adding more furniture. This mirror does exactly that. The frame is barely there, just a fine gold line around a big clear rectangle. I put it in the corner next to the chest of drawers and added a little round rug in front of it. It looks styled now. The two of us set it up in about twenty minutes, laid flat on the duvet. Very happy.

Lovely but needed help
I live alone and thought I'd be able to manage it myself. I couldn't, the package is around 31 lb and the glass is big, so I waited for a friend to come round. That's the only reason for four stars and it's not really the mirror's fault. Once it was up I loved it. Gorgeous mirror and it really does brighten the room. My bedroom is small and gets only a bit of afternoon sun, and with the mirror facing the window it feels lighter all day. Lovely, but plan your space
Some practical notes for anyone considering this. First, measure. It's 164 cm tall and 54 cm wide, which sounds manageable but in a small bedroom it's a real presence. I originally wanted it between the bed and the window and it felt crowded, so it went into the corner by the wardrobe instead, where it looks great. Second, you need room in front. To see your whole body you have to stand back a good metre and a half, as the listing says. Third, two people for unpacking and setup. Lay it flat on a blanket, put the stand on, then lift it together. Once it's up, it's a beautiful mirror. The thin gold frame catches the light from the window and the reflection is bright and true. We have a cat who loves chasing things, so we added a little anti-tip strap behind it for peace of mind. Lovely mirror, rough delivery
I want to be fair here because the mirror itself is beautiful. The courier left the box on its side in the rain at my front door, and the cardboard was soggy and torn on one corner. I was so sure it would be broken. Luckily the packaging inside did its job and the glass and frame were perfect. Assembly was quick with my other half helping. It's now in our entryway and it's the last thing I check before leaving the house. Three stars is for the delivery experience, not the product.
